Facilities Maintenance Manager

GovFirst is seeking to hire a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage maintenance operations across various facilities in Virginia which includes Bristol, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Newport News, Suffolk, Surry, Salem, Lynchburg, Staunton, Culpeper & Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities of facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and preventive programs.
  

• Supervise maintenance staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and operational procedures.
  

• Coordinate with other departments to support facility operations and projects.
  

• Manage equipment, inventory, and resources to maintain facility functionality.
  

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and reports.
  

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted management principles and practices related to facilities management, funding, planning, and development.
  

• Knowledge of construction design and specifications, cost estimating, building codes, federal and state regulations, and permit policies related to facilities operations including health and safety.
  

• Knowledge of energy management, energy management systems, controls, HVAC, lighting, utilities, energy efficiency in new and existing construction, and renewable technologies.
  

• Knowledge of specialty architecture, engineering, construction, trades, and facility operations, as well as understanding of capital outlay processes.
  

• Knowledge of general management principles including human resource management, strategic planning, and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement.
  

• Knowledge of and ability to administer contracts related to facilities and construction.
  

• Ability to supervise staff, programs, and budgets effectively.
  

• Skill in the use of computers and web-based applications including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
