Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Veneer Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assist our Facilities Manager in continuously improving and repairing our buildings and grounds.  This ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general maintenance of facilities including plumbing and general 'handyman' skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Repairing plumbing systems

· Assist our in-house electrician in performing electrical repairs.

· Perform general building cleaning and maintenance.

· Fixing company equipment and tools

· Repair doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building

· Clean and paint interior and exterior spaces.

· General maintenance of air conditioning and heating systems (certified HVAC technician will be called in where required).

· Remove and Install flooring.

· Assist Facilities Manager with projects such as construction, remodeling, general grounds maintenance, and other projects as needed.

· Help keep the buildings and grounds clean and organized.

· Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements 

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance

Ability to safely use common power and hand tools

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications

Strong team player and ability to work with people in all levels of the organization

Must have a Valid Driver's License 

Education/Experience

· High School Diploma or GED

· Minimum 2 years' experience in a general maintenance/handyman position.
