Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Assist Facility Maintenance Manager with supervision of Maintenance Department, planning, prioritizing, schedules and training. Supervise Facility Maintenance Staff, daily inspection of maintenance issues, preventive measures, anticipation of future needs, and work with other departments, record keeping, remedial action and daily communication with Facility Maintenance Manager. Ensure Facility Maintenance staff keep work stations, shop area and inventory rooms clean and organized.  

Requirements

• Supervise Facilities Maintenance Department staff and assist in planning and prioritizing.
• Give daily update of jobs assigned and scheduled to Facility Maintenance Manager.
• Employee training and safety.
• Work with Facility Maintenance Manager to schedule preventive maintenance implementation and completion. 
• Complete essential functions of Facility Maintenance Technician as needed.
• Participate in on-going educational and training programs.
• Assist with fire drills, schedule and documentation on a monthly basis. 
• Be available as needed when Facility Maintenance Manager is not accessible.  
• Obtain and maintain Basic First Aid/CPR/AED training.
• Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
• Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. 
• Present a professional, quality image at all times.  
• Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. 
• Regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be familiar with all phases of operations and maintenance of equipment such as but not limited to boilers, (hot loop, steam) generators, pumps, air handlers, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical. 
• Must have excellent initiative and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to track, document and be held accountable for activities. 
• Must have sound knowledge of Facilities Maintenance techniques.
• Must have sound knowledge of light electrical, plumbing and mechanical functions.
• Prefer 5-7 yr Facility Maintenance experience.
• Must have previous experience supervising Facility Maintenance staff. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for long periods of time as needed. 
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to shovel all types of snow in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and work atop scaffolding.
• Must be able to work in tight spaces. 
• Must be physically capable of getting to all areas under F.M. responsibility in a reasonable amount of time.
