The Role 

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician. The Facilities Maintenance Technician oversees and completes facility maintenance including repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. Duties include general landscaping, plumbing, heating, and wiring, as well as inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, identifying, planning and scheduling major repairs

What you’ll do

• General upkeep and minor repairs
• Perform routine. preventative maintenance, basic repairs such as plumbing tasks such as toilet repair, unclogging and ensuring proper function of restroom facilities
• Diagnose and repair or coordinate repairs for facilities and ancillary equipment
• Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean
• Responsible for landscaping, including mowing, trimming, and upkeep of appearance
• Performs general facilities maintenance (light bulbs, floors, organization etc.)
• Patch, paint, and general upkeep of walls.
• Shovel snow and salts sidewalks and parking lots
• Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks
• Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule 

(with or without reasonable accommodation, per the ADA)

Who you are

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other systems
• 2+ years of experience as a facilities maintenance technician
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experienced in operating a variety of general equipment related to building maintenance
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
