Job Description - Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs hands-on maintenance and repairs at multiple casual dining restaurant locations. This role ensures each site is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in quality work, can troubleshoot various facility issues, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, field-based role.

This position is located onsite, when not on location, Monday through Friday at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas, where our engaging and collaborative culture helped earn us a spot on Newsweek's list of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2024.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs across assigned restaurant locations

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and kitchen equipment

Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner with minimal disruption to operations

Inspect facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality

Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time on site

Support the installation of new equipment and assist with remodels or openings when needed

Communicate clearly with restaurant managers, vendors, and the corporate facilities team

Ensure all work is performed under safety regulations and company standards

Travel locally or regionally as required, approximately 90% travel; company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a restaurant, retail, or similar multi-unit environment

Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities issues

Comfortable using maintenance tools and equipment

Strong communication and time management skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across multiple sites

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

High school diploma or GED required; trade certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA) are a plus

Possession of personal maintenance tools is a plus

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
