Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Hight Logistics is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our facilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and values keeping a workplace clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

As a key member of our Facilities team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of two company locations, ensuring employees and visitors have a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness of offices, break rooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces through routine janitorial services.


• Perform regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues.


• Complete general building repairs, including:

  • Replacing light fixtures and bulbs
  
  
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  
  
  • Door, lock, and hardware repairs
  
  
  • General fixture maintenance
  
  
  
  


• Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and facility systems.


• Keep outdoor areas clean by removing trash, sweeping, and performing light landscaping when needed.


• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.


• Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workstation setups, and special facility projects.


• Monitor facility conditions and report major repairs or safety concerns to management.


• Follow all company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.


• Support other facility-related projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
  

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, building maintenance, or general repair work preferred.


• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques.


• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.


• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.


• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work across multiple facilities.


• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.


• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


• Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning products.
