Salary Range: $20.00 - 25.00 per hour commensurate with experience

Job Summary

Manage all areas of Cunnane Parish Center, Social Hall, Blessed Carlo Acutis Hall, herein after called “facilities” and outside grounds activities including the scheduling of special events, church events, and meetings. Clean and maintain all areas of facilities as well as schedule maintenance vendors throughout the year as needed for regular maintenance and repairs. Supervise janitorial staff who will maintain the cleanliness of the church, preschool and facilities.

Job Duties

• Keep calendar of events/meetings scheduled in the facilities, including conference room and classrooms.
• Write up contracts and collect fees from guests who are renting one of the facilities.
• Arrange for security guard(s) when alcohol is to be consumed at an event.
• Remain on premises for the duration of rental events.
• Set-up and clear after each event (church, private party, faith formation) including moving walls.
• Clean kitchen, bathrooms, floors, tables, and chairs after each event.
• Keep items stocked in the Cunnane Parish Center such as coffee and supplies, plates, napkins, cutlery, etc.
• Set up all areas (conference room/classrooms) in a timely manner.
• Empty trash/recycle bins daily.
• Clean entry glass doors weekly.
• Keep up on regular maintenance items to ensure everything is in good working order such as safety signs, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, grease trap, etc.
• Contact a plumber, electrician, or other professional as needed for maintenance issues.
• Meet with all agencies for inspections of the grounds.
• Pick up maintenance/janitorial items from Home Depot as needed. Credit card to be provided.
• Attend all pertinent meetings such as monthly staff meetings, Parish Council, finance, Fall Festival, etc.

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of procedures, practices, tools, and equipment used in maintenance.
• Must be able to lift and stack over 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and climb ladders.
• Must be able to make judgment calls related to emergency and safety.
• Have the ability to be self-sufficient and perform outline tasks with little or no supervision.
• Have the ability to work with other staff members.
• Must be able to read and speak English proficiently.
