Description

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Reports To: Property Director

Summary

This safety sensitive position manages the maintenance, and repairs of facilities and property. Monitors compliance with internal and external groups to surpass standards. Understands Risk Management and operates to protect the agencies assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages capital projects.
  • Supervises and/or performs the implementation of repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the condition of the agency’s property.
  • Identifies solutions needed to solve maintenance and repair issues.
  • Solicits competitive pricing from vendors for agency purchases and repairs.
  • Coordinates service providers for maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintains maintenance logs for agencies owned vehicles.
  • Performs general repairs on agency vehicles.
  • Responds to maintenance emergency calls.
  • Responds and completes Work Orders.
  • Leads and coordinates inspections to ensure compliance with standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supervises maintenance technicians, and contractors.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company polices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education level.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Five years’ experience in the building or property maintenance field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Blood Borne Pathogens, Systemic Instruction Strategies, Abuse/Neglect, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Behavior training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Class E driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
  • Must pass a background check including criminal record and driving record.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding Time Management capabilities.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, occasionally above shoulder level.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; this may be more with certain types of work assignments.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate power equipment.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
