Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.
We’re looking for a Facilities Manager who makes things happen, someone who can take a facility from concept to operational readiness quickly, cost-effectively, and without unnecessary complexity. This is a hands-on role for a resourceful operator who can navigate regulations, negotiate with vendors, and keep projects moving, all while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
What You’ll Do
Lead facility build-outs, upgrades, and maintenance to meet ambitious timelines without sacrificing quality.
Source, negotiate, and manage local suppliers and contractors to secure the best value and fastest delivery.
Anticipate and solve problems before they cause delays, whether with contractors, supply chains, or permitting.
Build constructive relationships with local authorities to secure permits and approvals quickly and efficiently.
Be present on-site, ensuring work meets standards and schedules stay on track.
Manage budgets tightly, finding creative ways to achieve savings without cutting corners.
Proven track record of delivering facilities projects on time and on budget.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to get the most out of vendor partnerships.
Practical knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on enabling progress rather than creating obstacles.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Compensation
At 1X your work and results will be rewarded with a total rewards package consisting of a base salary, stock options and benefits. Base salary range is $110,000 to $165,000. Your actual salary will be based on your knowledge, skills and experience.
Location Policy
We believe the best work is done when collaborating and therefore require in-person presence in our office locations.
