Vitamix is searching for a dedicated Manager, Facilities to lead all global facility operations, including our vital Usher Road and Morgan Court locations in Northeast Ohio. This role is responsible for ensuring our facilities not only maintain an impeccable appearance but also operate with peak efficiency. You will be instrumental in directing every aspect of facilities, encompassing financial stewardship, team leadership, physical security management, driving sustainability efforts, and spearheading capital improvement projects. Furthermore, you will provide essential leadership in shaping and enforcing corporate security policies and procedures.


 


Duties & Responsibilities:


 



  • Strategically plans and directs all aspects of the corporation's global facilities portfolio, ensuring optimal space utilization and alignment with organizational growth objectives.

  • Champions the consistent maintenance of all properties, facilities, and equipment to uphold stringent corporate specifications and brand standards across all locations.

  • Designs, implements, and meticulously manages a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to guarantee continuous operation of all critical services, including power, water, HVAC, and fire protection, while proactively addressing potential emergencies.

  • Leads end-to-end project management for all facility-related construction, renovation, and maintenance initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required specifications.

  • Develops, communicates, and enforces global facilities standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring strict compliance across all locations and integrating best practices.

  • Oversees the development, negotiation, and management of all vendor and contractor agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality service delivery, and strong partner relationships.

  • Establishes, tracks, and regularly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant departmental or organizational metrics to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate value.

  • Develops and manages the annual operating budget for all facilities operations, encompassing personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies, while forecasting long-range capital expenditures for prospective projects.

  • Monitors and analyzes budget performance post-adoption, ensuring accuracy, identifying variances, and providing timely updates on forecasted expenditures to maintain financial discipline.

  • Provides strong leadership and mentorship to the facilities team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous professional development.


 


The ideal candidate will also possess:



  • Alignment with Vitamix’s culture and Guiding Principles which defines its Purpose, Mission, and Values.

  • 1-2 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Extensive knowledge in Facilities Management, Project Management, or a related field required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture or related field required

  • Experience working with CAD plans in the design of new space, the reconfiguration of existing space, and/or new construction

  • Broad exposure to facilities or property management, real estate service delivery oversight and vendor management, real estate capital or project management (construction and improvements), and long term real estate strategy formulation

  • Successful experience handling both large and small construction projects

  • Problem Solving - Skilled at quickly diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing effective solutions.

  • Communication - Ability to clearly articulate reasoning, explain decisions, and effectively convey complex ideas to different audiences.

  • Influence - Ability to persuade and guide others towards a desired outcome.

  • Resourcefulness - Leverages available resources and contacts to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals efficiently.

Physical Demands:



  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day, with walking and standing required frequently

  • Visual acuity is required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading documents, reports, and emails

  • Repetitive hand movements for tasks like typing or assembly

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye protection

  • Vision (near, color)

  • Sense of sound (ability to hear the difference in sounds of motor)

  • Sense of touch


 


Up to 10% of travel may be required.
