Job Summary

 Self Help, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Manager to ensure the functionality and safety of our various facilities and equipment in the Brockton area. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to maintain a comfortable and operational environment for our staff and clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed
• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Plumbing repairs
2. Electrical repairs
3. Carpentry work
4. Painting and touch-ups
5. HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
6. Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
7. Snow plowing experience required
8. Must be able to operate a Bobcat
9. Lawn mowing

Other Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check and other required clearances
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required

Schedule:

• Varied hours and days. Hours can change based on winter weather
• Salaried position and additional hours based on circumstances

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000

Knowledge, Skills and abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues effectively
• Proficiency in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in a relevant field preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, general repairs, or a related field
• Candidates with an HVAC, plumbing or electrical license are encouraged to apply
• Experience in project planning and budget management
• Must be able to manage a small team
