Individuals in this position are responsible for supporting 100% uptime for the Data Center and its customers.
Essential Job Functions:
* Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair critical systems. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance.
* Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. * Ensures correct and on time implementation of solutions for customer applications, including preparation of space, power, and network
* Identify and be able to immediately recognize system faults and respond to operational and emergency situations. * Responsible for all technical aspects of facility operations including power and HVAC systems
* Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. * Read, comprehend and work from complex technical information (i.e. blueprints, sketches, building plans and schematics) pertaining to electrical and mechanical systems that serve the data centers. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and formal change control processes to implement changes. * Handles all facility issues encountered during day to day operations to ensure 100% uptime for facility operations
Qualifications: * Requires three or more years of Facility Operations and management experience in the telecom or service provider industry * Must possess an understanding of the operation and maintenance large Diesel Powered emergency standby power systems, Large Uninterruptable Power systems, VRAL battery plants, MV and LV switchgear, switchboards and associated power distribution systems and lighting.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Strong skills in presentation and proposal design * Strong knowledge of general industry networking technologies such as UPS, Generators, and Mechanical systems * Ability to multi task and meet multiple deadlines * Proficient in MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university ; or equivalent training, education and experience.
