Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years in facilities and/or buildings and grounds mechanical maintenance. Ability to coordinate and supervise independent contractors outside service contractors.
Project management/planning experience to include cost estimating, budgeting, RFP negotiation/contracts and scheduling.
Excellent knowledge base of facilities infrastructure and structural.
Working knowledge with building and grounds life safety systems and mechanical systems; electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other related areas.
Experience working with downed trees, camp facilities compliance work and vehicle/machinery maintenance oversight.
Knowledge of an Environmental Health and Safety Program, CAL-OSHA safety standards and regulations and HVAC preventive maintenance practices.
Knowledge of employee safety and disaster preparedness training requirements and delivery in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Understanding of SDS statements, usage of HAZMAT products and ability to train other staff or volunteers in safe use of potential hazardous or non-hazardous materials
Know how to use various types of hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and services
Ability to make various major and minor maintenance repairs
Familiarity with kitchen and health facility equipment is a plus
Computer proficiency to include Office 365
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Must have excellent interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills
Must have Valid driver's license and clean driving record
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification must be maintained can be updated within the first 12 months.

Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Must have the physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move heavy equipment - approximately 50 lbs.

Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the Direct Supervision of the Executive Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager is responsible for collaboration with the Buildings Grounds teams and manages specific site staff teams to include but not limited to Building Life Safety Systems, Facilities Infrastructure, Preventive Maintenance, Shutdowns and Construction Projects Management of up to $1MM plus projects at assigned locations. Together with the Facilities Leadership Team, the Facilities Manager will be assigned staff and demonstrate leadership to the entire structure providing guidance and direction, providing safe, clean and well-maintained buildings and grounds.

Position is located at Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda. Must reside on-site. Housing will be provided.
Salary $66,761 to $77,821 per year
