OhiGrow is focused on integrating standard medical, scientific, and operational practices into the medical and Adult-Use cannabis industry, improving the quality, safety and affordability of cannabis-based medicines for our patients and customers in Ohio. The Facilities Mechanic is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and functionality of the organization's physical facilities. This includes managing the day-to-day operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conducts daily reviews and ensures urgent corrective action to remedy all issues and deficiencies identified in our facilities
- Conducts regular maintenance inspections to ensure all equipment receives proper preventative maintenance on schedules created and or previously established by Jushi, standard best practices, and or manufacturers, retail and cultivation guidelines
- Optimize the established preventative maintenance program to ensure regular and efficient inspections of equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment as necessary to ensure proper use per manufactures specifications
- Assists in managing the physical facility including equipment, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, envelope, equipment and life safety systems
- Establish and manage an effective maintenance and cleaning program.
- Oversee and participates in all capital improvement projects as needed by the construction team.
- Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
- Support production in maintaining packaging inventory levels.
- Follow all GMP and safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance of various plant manufacturing and supporting equipment.
- Communicate with supervisor for direction. The ability to keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not working properly.
- Perform duties with or without close supervision.
- Ability to Generate work orders, complete work orders and close work orders in a CMMS system.
- Coordinate and complete projects with outside vendors.
- Perform all other related duties as requested.
- Maintain or have maintained the facilities grounds and associated buildings
- Coordinate/Unload deliveries of equipment/supplies for the facility on site or in associated buildings
- Keep associated buildings neat and clean and organized.
- Participate in safety related training programs.
- Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP practices.
- Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
- Ensure the proper documentation of repairs.
- Travel as needed to Grow facility in Toledo at minimum once per month.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Ability to read and follow blue prints, drawings (assembly) and schematics
- Proficiency in troubleshooting: mechanical equipment, installing and repairing new equipment, and the ability to respond to machine and equipment issues in all areas of the facility.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work from an elevated platform.
- Must be able to work independently, follow through and complete tasks, and handle a multi-task workload.
- Participate in safety related training programs.
- Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP practices.
- Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
- Ensure the proper documentation of repairs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
- Frequently sitting and walking
- Occasionally Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
- Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50lbs of force occasionally may be required.
- Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment and manual tools
- Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting trimming, batching, and sorting equipment.
The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.
