Key Responsibilities
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot all systems and work with copper Pro-press as well as to be trained on working with Aquatherm piping.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access crawl spaces, boiler rooms, mechanical spaces, exterior spaces.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain plumbing inventory, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, to locate the cause of a leak or broken pipe and correct the problem.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and is food safe quality.
- Plan layout and installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Follow blueprints to determine the location of plumbing and equipment, and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair piping, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ability to be trained to run a forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack and off-road forklift or Lull.
- Maintain Inventory, assist with packing, and loading of materials bound for project sites.
- Work with crewmembers when activities require additional workforce outside of mechanical trade.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance when plumbing work is slow and when an extra hand is needed.
Preferred Experience
- Able to work on sanitary sewer as well as domestic water systems.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience
- HVAC and Boiler experience
- Basic understanding of wastewater systems.
