We are constantly pushing the boundaries of our nation\u0027s capabilities in space.\n\nNorthrop Grumman, located in Promontory, UT, is currently recruiting a Facilities Electrical Engineer.\n\nJob Summary including Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n * Designs power, controls, and process instrumentation per the NEC, including hazardous classified locations.\n * Provide detailed cost estimates for project design and implementation.\n * Troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment.\n * Develop electrical maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment.\n * Integrate and specify electrical equipment for robotics, PLC\u2019s, servo drives, instrumentation and HVAC equipment.\n * Knowledge of Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control a variety of processes, machine tools, and robotics. Allen-Bradley PLC and Rockwell Software experience preferred.\n * Expertise to develop electrical schematics that are logical, well-organized, and require little to no redlines\n * Expertise in designing panel layouts that minimize space and comply with the manufacturer\u2019s specifications\n * Design, specify, and program variable frequency drives (VFD) for all types of motor control applications.\n * CNC machine knowledge and specifying.\n * Work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot.\n * Project management and cost estimating.\n * Provide Detailed Project Designs in AutoCAD drawing format.\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package, including:\n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage\n * 401k\n * Educational Assistance\n * Life Insurance\n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions\n * Paid Time Off\n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources\n * Employee Discounts\n\n\n\n \nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nLevel 2\n\n * BS in Engineering with an emphasis in electrical/automation.\n * 2 years minimum or 0 with a Master\u0027s degree in industrial facility electrical design experience.\n * Industrial power and control design experience.\n * PLC systems and design experience.\n * AutoCAD drafting ability.\n * Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, work outside, and work in congested areas.\n\n\n\nLevel 3\n\n * BS in Engineering with an emphasis in electrical/automation.\n * 5 years minimum or 3 with a Master\u0027s degree in industrial facility electrical design experience.\n * Industrial power and control design experience.\n * PLC systems and design experience.\n * AutoCAD drafting ability.\n * Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, work outside and work in congested areas.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
