JOB SUMMARYResponsible for overseeing facility programs and projects, capital planning initiatives, contracted services, regulatory compliance coordination, and operational support functions across assigned district facilities. This position focuses on program administration, infrastructure planning, project coordination, vendor management, and will support the operational goals of the Facilities Department. Works collaboratively with the Director of Facilities, Facility Systems Manager, Facility Operations Managers, Planning & Construction, and Director of Facility Operations to support safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities. This role is intended to complement, not directly supervise or duplicate, the technical and day-to-day operational responsibilities of Facility Operations.

Coordinate district-wide facility programs and operational initiatives supporting long-term facility performance. Assist in development and implementation of departmental operational standards and procedures. Support coordination between maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental, energy, and construction functions. Analyze operational data and program performance to identify improvement opportunities. Assist with development of district-wide facility initiatives and operational consistency standards. Coordinate operational planning efforts with district leadership and facility teams.

Lead CMMS program and execution. Support long-range facility and infrastructure planning initiatives. Assist in developing replacement and upgrade plans for facility infrastructure systems and building components. Support facility condition assessments and deferred maintenance planning efforts. Coordinate capital renewal planning for roofs, building envelopes, interior finishes, and utility infrastructure. Assist in prioritizing capital improvement projects based on facility conditions and operational needs. Collaborate with Planning, Design & Construction on project planning and facility transitions.

Provide administrative and operational coordination for facility-related projects. Coordinate project activities between contractors, consultants, district departments, and facility staff. Support project scheduling, permitting coordination, and project closeout activities. Review project documentation, schedules, and operational impacts. Assist with transition of completed projects into district operations.  Track and complete warranty close-outs and issues. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Administer facility-related contracts and vendor services. Support procurement activities including bid specifications, contract documentation, and vendor evaluations. Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance. Coordinate contracted services supporting district facility programs. Review invoices, service reports, and contractor deliverables. Assist with identifying service efficiencies and contract performance improvements.

Support financial planning and resource management efforts for Facilities Operations. Assist in development and monitoring of operational and capital budgets. Track project expenditures and maintenance-related costs. Support budget forecasting and long-range facility investment planning. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.

Support compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate facility-related compliance documentation and reporting. Assist with environmental health and safety program administration. Support regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective action tracking. Monitor changes in applicable codes, regulations, and compliance requirements. Promote safe operational practices and risk mitigation strategies.

Serve as a liaison between Facilities Operations, school leadership, vendors, and district departments. Communicate project updates, operational impacts, and facility planning initiatives. Coordinate meetings, planning efforts, and operational communications. Support customer service and stakeholder engagement efforts. Assist leadership with reports, presentations, and operational planning documentation.Daily5%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.



  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required

  • High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma

  • Five (5) years of construction, building maintenance, building inspections, mechanical systems and leadership experience 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Valid Colorado Class 'R' driver's license required at time of hire. Driver's license must be maintained as a condition of     continued employment. Employee will be required to operate District vehicles.

  • Employee must maintain a driving record which meets the standards of the District insurance policy

  • Must meet and maintain insurability requirements of the Colorado School District self-insurance pool

  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, decision making, organizational, supervisory, management, and analytical skills

  • Strong organization and project coordination skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Effective collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of facilities management principles, regulatory compliance, and capital planning processes

  • Ability to develop practical solutions and support operational improvements

  • Knowledge of building maintenance, materials, hardware, and equipment. Knowledge of mechanical systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), grounds (maintenance, care and equipment), custodial operations (equipment, products and standards), budgeting and building codes

  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.



  • Experience working in the public sector, specifically public education

  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

  • Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred

  • Facility Management Professional (FMP)

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM)

  • APPA Facilities Professional credentials or related industry certifications

  • Seven plus (7) years of experience in construction, building maintenance, building inspections, mechanical systems and leadership. Experience in maintenance management in the public sector or industry is strongly preferred

  • Experience supporting capital projects, contract administration, or facility planning preferred.

  • Working knowledge of building systems, facility operations, and construction processes

  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), project tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to analyze operational, project, and financial data.

  • Operating knowledge of work order management system and Oracle required within 1 month after hire. English language skills required. Oral and written fluency in a second language may be preferred or required based on building assignment
