Facilities Sanitation Associate

FW Logistics is an experienced logistic service provider that is big enough to handle supply chain logistics needs while still being small enough to give specialized service. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Facilities Sanitation Associate. The person in this role will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to keep the facilities looking perfect and tour ready at all times. In addition, you must take pride in your cleaning efforts.

Pay: $15.00 an hour plus Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off, 401K, & Great Co-workers!

Location: 4300 Church Rd. Centreville, IL. 62207

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 03:30pm

 As a Facilities Sanitation Associate for FW Logistics, you will maintain a safe, professional, and sanitary environment by performing comprehensive janitorial services and adhering to strict cleaning protocols. Your daily responsibilities include floor care, restroom maintenance, and waste disposal to ensure the facility remains in top condition for all employees. Beyond cleaning, you will monitor building security, manage supply inventory, and perform minor repairs to keep operations running smoothly. Working with minimal supervision, you play a critical role in upholding company standards through timely task completion and proactive facility maintenance. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Represent FW Logistics in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Perform janitorial services in a manner that ensure the work environment is consistently cleaned and well maintained per COVID-19 protocol/procedures.
• General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Cleaning and stock restrooms.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to manage your time efficiently.
• Able to use cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.
• Work well when supervisors are not present.
• Must have experience cleaning and sanitizing in an office, warehouse, or other industrial, fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year custodial, janitorial, sanitation or housekeeping experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours per day, if required
• Requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
• Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents.
• May include lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion and 50 pounds rarely.
• The performance of this position requires exposure to warehouse areas where, at certain times, temperatures fluctuate based on external weather conditions.
