The Facilities Shift Manager is responsible for supervising and overseeing the facilities department to ensure the casino's building, interior and grounds are maintained on a consistent basis. Duties for this position includes supervising, training and delegating all work performed for the department, conducting performance evaluations and participating with the disciplinary process. The Facilities Shift Manager assists with the determination of the daily work priorities, required service, necessary materials and crew needed to perform daily functions, conducts routine inspections of completed work to ensure standards are being met, communicates any problems or concerns to the Site Manager and Director as needed and keeps inventory of all maintenance, materials, equipment and submits orders for any supply needs. Coordinates maintenance and facilities work with other internal departments and assists maintenance and workers with assignments as needed. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience & Requirements:
Must have four years experience in custodial work to include supervisor of staff in an organization of comparable size Must be able to manage and motivate staff Must have experience in all aspects of building maintenance to include plumbing, electrical/HVAC and carpentry Additional education and or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours Must be have good use of hand and finger dexterity Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, climb stairs on a routine basis Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to work around loud noises, understand operating instructions and be able to work in various weather conditions Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIB license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
