Facilities Specialist

Facilities Specialist responsible for the physical maintanence of Field Office Fort Hood. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintains buildings and related structures including construction work.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC systems.
• Maintains grounds.
• Supports Environmental Compliance Program.
• Cleans and maintains working areas in an orderly condition.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and polishes floors. Removes trash or other refuse.
• Dusts equipment, furniture or fixtures. Polishes metal fixtures or trimmings.
• Provides supplies for rest rooms and other facilities and performs simple tasks such as moving and storing furniture and equipment.  
• Supports maintanance of vehicle fleet.

• Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance, TS/SCI Eligible
• Experience with repairing and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Associate’s Degree or 2 year technical school (4 years of additional direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education).

• Required to regularly sit, walk, and/or stand throughout various times during the day.
• Use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office and maintenance power equipment.

• Knowledge of basic construction work is a plus.
• Military background a plus.
