Facilities Supervisor

About the role

Planstin is seeking a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to manage the cleanliness, maintenance, and supply management of five small office buildings. This is a hands-on, mid-shift leadership role for an individual who excels at organization, team supervision, and proactive problem-solving. You'll be responsible for overseeing a small team of custodians, ensuring our facilities are kept in excellent condition, and coordinating necessary repairs and projects. Our ideal candidate brings a combination of practical experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards. This is a salaried position working Monday - Friday, 12:00-8:30 PM. There will be opportunity to flex your schedule and hours to meet with contractors and oversee projects. Some projects are completed on weekends and you may need to meet with contractors during that time as well.

What you'll do

• Supervise a dedicated team of custodians: Lead, train, and support your team, ensuring daily cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, typically working 2-3 hours each day starting at 5 PM.
• Oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance: Ensure all five office buildings consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, are well-maintained, and are fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Manage external projects and repairs: Coordinate with external contractors for various projects and necessary repairs, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.
• Manage inventory: Accurately track and order cleaning supplies, equipment, and other materials to ensure continuous operational readiness.
• Coordinate office setups and moves: Oversee setting up offices and managing office moves for new hires or department changes, ensuring a smooth transition.

Qualifications

• Have experience in facilities management, property management, or a related supervisory role.
• Are highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Are an excellent communicator, capable of leading and motivating a small team.
• Are proactive in identifying and addressing facility needs.
• Are reliable, collaborative, and take strong ownership of your work.
• Are comfortable coordinating with external vendors and managing small projects.
