TITLE: Custodian 

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

ROLE TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

HIRING LOCATION: Both Visalia locations:

2. 6910 W. Pershing Ct, Visalia CA 93291

PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $25.00 with opportunity for bonuses.

SUMMARY: 

The Custodian reports directly to the Office Manager. The Custodian is responsible for janitorial and general maintenance duties across two of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our properties remain clean, functional, and well-maintained, contributing to a positive and safe environment for all staff and visitors. 

EXPECTATIONS OF ALL EMPLOYEES:

All employees of Edeniq, Inc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, laboratories, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures
• All other duties, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Perform light maintenance and minor repairs across facilities
• Change light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, replace ballasts, and clean light fixtures
• Repair or replace door handles, locks, hinges, and other building fixtures
• Unclog drains, fix leaking faucets or toilets, and assist with basic plumbing tasks
• Patch and paint walls as needed
• Assemble, move, or repair furniture and equipment
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Identify and report major maintenance needs to supervisor or coordinate with outside vendors as directed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supply inventory
• Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:  

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in custodial, maintenance, or facilities work
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple sites
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation. Must be able to move around the office and lab to perform tasks that require bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time. This position must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to regularly drive between both location Nevada and Pershing. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must maintain auto insurance per company insurance standards. Position requires reliable transportation. Ability to move freely without legal restrictions nationally is necessary.
