The Facilities Technician works to maintain buildings and equipment essential to the operation of the Ranch. Work may include carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and other general Maintenace duties. This is a full-time, 40 hours a week, non-exempt position reporting to the Facilities Manager. Hours will generally be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

· Perform high quality maintenance repairs and projects for property while adhering to set priorities, deadlines, and procedures.

· Work with knowledge in the areas of electrical, painting, basic construction, and plumbing repairs.

· Inspect grounds, buildings, pumps, aerators, motors, timers, drainage systems, life safety systems, and water systems routinely to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance.

· Work in such a way as to minimize errors.

· Work safely.

· Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and maintaining work order logs.

· Work productively as member of team with diverse responsibilities and skills.

· Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Experience in construction, trades, or facilities/building maintenance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• High School Diploma
• California Driver's License
• The ability to work at heights up to fifty feet from the ground.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of shop machines, power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, including their safe use and maintenance.
• Experience working with gas powered tools such as chain saws, weed eaters, generators, compressors, etc.
• Agricultural or ranch experience desired.
• Experience in construction, trades, or facilities/building maintenance

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged physical activity required including standing, sitting, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting and walking on uneven ground for prolonged periods of time. 
• May lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
• Works indoors and outdoors year round
• Frequently works in extreme temperatures and inclement weather
• Works around hazardous materials and equipment
• Position requires occasional use of personal protective equipment
• Works occasionally in areas that make excessive noise
• Must have the ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position
• Occasional travel to local facilities

Salary Range: $25 to $28 per hour depending upon experience
