Facilities Technician

Our facilities/maintenance staff are an instrumental part of the Folktale Family.  They are committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming work environment. Our Facilities team ensures all building systems operate seamlessly to support our day-to-day operations. Full time.  Thursday - Monday.  $28-$30 / hr DOE

A Facilities Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, groundskeeping and safety systems, to ensure operational and regulatory compliance.

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. 
• Conduct general facility upkeep—painting, carpentry, cleaning, flooring, and grounds maintenance. 
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and service requests. 
• Grounds keeping and building maintenance duties as directed by Property Manager.
• Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Assist in ridding vineyard grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, squirrels, and others.
• Paint multiple different structures and ensure paint is upkept.
• Apply fertilizer to the grounds to enhance growth.
• Perform routine maintenance duties.
• Clear walkways of any debris. 
• Perform repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
• Install lawn furniture and maintain current furniture.
• Install rock, cement, and lighting as needed or directed.
• Work with the facilities team to adjust grounds prior, during, and after events.
• Engage on Paylocity, the company’s human resources platform.
• Bilingual a plus!

Requirements

• Quick learner, able to take direction well. 
• Background in maintenance is a plus.
• Team player and ability to maintain a positive attitude. 

Physical Requirements

• The ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, climb, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds is required. 
• This position also requires continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills, and the ability to clearly speak, hear, see, and adjust focus.
