OVERVIEW


The Facilities Technician plays a vital, front‑line role in delivering an elevated, hospitality‑driven workplace experience at ALO’s Beverly Hills headquarters. Supporting a fast‑growing luxury clothing and wellness brand rooted in mindful movement and studio‑to‑street living, this position ensures the building operates safely, efficiently, and consistently meets brand‑level presentation standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical abilities paired with a service‑first mindset, thriving in fast‑paced, high‑visibility environments while providing professional, discreet, and responsive support to executives, employees, and guests. This role directly shapes the daily employee experience and influences how the brand shows up at HQ. In a luxury environment, how an issue is handled is just as important as what gets fixed, making attention to detail, urgency, sustainability, and a service‑first approach essential.


RESPONSIBILITIES  


Building Operations & Maintenance



  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance across interior and exterior spaces, offices, wellness areas, meeting rooms, restrooms, common areas, rooftops, and building systems.

  • Troubleshoot and complete repairs for plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC support, door hardware, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and fixtures

  • Identify issues early and communicate recommended corrective actions for larger repairs or capital needs.


Hospitality, Brand Presentation & Wellness



  • Maintain a guest‑ready, polished environment consistent with Alo’s luxury brand standards.

  • Deliver white‑glove, service‑oriented support to executives, employees, and visitors; anticipate facility needs to avoid disruptions.

  • Support a calm, wellness‑forward workplace, clean studios/wellness rooms, quiet mechanical performance, and tidy common spaces that reflect mindful movement.


Safety, Compliance & Emergency Response



  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire & life safety systems, and company protocols, correct hazards immediately.

  • Respond promptly to building emergencies; participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours or weekend incidents.


Sustainability & Care for the Workplace



  • Operate with a sustainability lens, support recycling, waste‑reduction, and energy‑aware practices aligned with Alo’s eco‑conscious operations.

  • Handle chemicals, tools, and equipment responsibly to protect indoor air quality and the well‑being of our community.


Vendor & Work Order Coordination



  • Manage facilities work orders in Asana, ServiceDesk (or similar), ensuring timely completion and clear communication.

  • Coordinate external vendors and contractors for specialty or larger‑scale work; hold partners to OSHA, building, and brand‑presentation standards.

  • Monitor the quality, scope, cleanliness, and safety of vendor work.


Workplace Support & Events



  • Support office moves, furniture assembly, space reconfigurations, and workstation setups.

  • Provide facilities support for internal meetings, executive functions, wellness programming, and brand activations with minimal disruption and rapid turnaround.

  • Assist with light inventory tracking, receiving, and organization of facilities storage areas.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • 2–3 years supporting commercial buildings, corporate offices, hospitality environments, or luxury retail spaces.

  • Hands‑on knowledge of building maintenance systems and general repair work; ability to read basic blueprints/MEP/site plans.

  • Strong organization and prioritization in a fast‑paced environment; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.

  • Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Word, and work‑order systems (e.g., Asana).

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs., walk large floor areas; climb stairs/ladders; kneel/bend; access rooftops and mechanical rooms.

  • Work in varying temperatures and occasional noisy environments (PPE provided as needed), routine use of tools, equipment, and cleaning products.


Preferred 



  • Background in hospitality, hotels, luxury retail, residential concierge, or executive environments; HQ experience preferred.

  • Basic HVAC or refrigeration knowledge; EPA 608 Universal a plus; bilingual English/Spanish.  


The base pay range for this position is $30/hr-$35/hr which represents the current range for the non-exempt position. Please note that actual pay will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
