Facilities Technician

Position Summary:

Talent Source is hiring a Facilities Technician A to support facility maintenance operations in Van Nuys, CA. This is a temporary, entry-level role focused on routine preventative maintenance and basic repair work across multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. The position supports day-to-day facility operations and works under close supervision in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and basic equipment calibration.

• Support maintenance and repair of facility structures, equipment, and grounds.

• Handle basic, non-complex maintenance issues and escalate complex problems to higher-level technicians.

• Conduct routine and periodic inspections to identify repair or maintenance needs.

• Assist with minor carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC-related tasks.

• Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, layouts, drawings, and specifications.

• Advise management of inspection results and recommended corrective actions.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures at all times.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 0–3 years of related facilities or maintenance experience.

• Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and system operations.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Commitment to working safely and following all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC knowledge and hands-on experience.

• Approximately 4 years of maintenance or facilities experience.

• Technical training certification or AA/AS degree.

Schedule, Duration & Compensation Details:

• Temporary assignment (12 months; temp-to-perm possible).

• 1st shift | 980 schedule.

• Expected 40 hours per week; overtime not expected 

• On-site role in Van Nuys, CA.

• Pay rate: up to $25.00 per hour.
