Facilities Technician- 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Accountable for operation and maintenance on the following systems: Compressed Air system, process
water, chemical system filters, fire suppression system checks, ventilation systems, overhead doors,
facilities plumbing systems, facilities electrical systems.
Major Responsibilities
 Maintain utility systems listed above.
 Maintain good communications with team members.
 Operate forklift/scissors lift/boom lift.
 Maintain various log books.
 Relocation and settling of new equipment.
 Installation of electrical, pneumatic, and water piping & wiring to equipment.
 Installation of computer and phone cabling.
Minor Responsibilities
 Requires teamwork and participation in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001
and Employee Involvement.
 Requires effective communication and involvement with team members, internal departments and
outside resources.
 Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
 Maintain 5’s standards: maintaining good housing keeping.
 Requires shift work and overtime as required.
 Ability to work in an environment and perform duties with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job (education, experience, other)
 Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent (must fulfill NC state or federal educational
requirements).
 Must have 2-3 years experience in electrical and mechanical skills (plumbing, piping, & HVAC)
Key Competencies (ex. computer skills, analytical skills, etc)
 Effective verbal, listening and communication skills
 Requires work within high & low voltage circuits (24v~480v)
 Must be able to operate forklift, scissors lift, boom lift, scrubber & company truck
 Must be able to use various hand tools and equipment (test instruments and meters).
 Read and interpret schematic & diagram to help troubleshooting.
 Must be able to communicate process/problems.
Physical Requirements
 Requires constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day
 Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
 Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and kneel.
 Must be able to apply up to 66lbs push/pull force unassisted.
 Must be able to reach overhead.
 Requires some work outside
 Requires work in high places.
