Facilities Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Technician to join our client’s team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems. Your primary duties will include conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, and addressing any maintenance issues that arise to ensure the safety, efficiency, and comfort of our facilities. This is a Direct Hire opportunity located near Hanover Park, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify any maintenance needs or potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and general building repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
• Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to facility maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Manufacturing experience is required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in facility maintenance.

 Job Details:

• Direct Hire
• Monday- Friday, 3rd shift, onsite
• Pay is $35- $45 an hour depending on experience
