Facilities/Maintenance Personnel

PAY RATE

$18.00 - $23.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains a healthy and welcoming environment for all staff, members, and participants of YMCA Camp Erdman. Keeps the camp's facilities and grounds in a clean and orderly condition. Works with the supervisor to ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of the camp's buildings and grounds, including but not limited to landscaping, general cleaning, and minor repairs. Provides a safe and enjoyable facility for campers, staff, and visitors. This position reports to the Facilities Director and Facilities Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Performs manual tasks for cleaning, repair, and new installations.
• Works with general cleaning chemicals.
• Sweeps, vacuums, scrubs, mops, waxes, landscapes.
• Uses light, power-operated, or manual cleaning, maintenance, or landscaping equipment such as drills, power washers, hammers, lawnmowers, and weed beaters.
• Assists supervisor in repair and maintenance projects.
• Immediately reports necessary repairs or supplies as needed.
• Cleans designated areas as assigned.
• Must be able to read and understand directions, specifically about the use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Education/Training:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license. Experience:
• Some experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or housekeeping.
• Familiarity with using manual and power-operated cleaning and andscaping equipment.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
