Description

Job Summary:

The Facilities Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Facilities Manager and is responsible for supporting all facilities functions.

*This role is only 20 hours per week up to a 6 month assignment* *This is role is onsite Monday-Friday*

Essential Functions:

Maintenance

• Facility maintenance including painting, repairs, light plumbing and janitorial
• Building maintenance including HVAC and generator preventive maintenance and grounds keeping 
• Assist with maintaining and cleaning company vehicles 
• Coordinate onsite maintenance work with vendor(s)
• Facilitate vendors visits during service calls
• Assist with onsite event setups and break downs
• Provide support and service during events, i.e. HMG Support Drives 

Inventory

• Purchase, transport, and stock supplies
• Assist with fixed asset inventory and fixed asset data entry duties
• Asset tagging at new facility

Safety & Security

• Identify and resolve safety hazards and security issues keeping your manager informed
• Maintain key fob management using our key fob management software
• Maintain & control building key(s) assignment
• Support for training sessions of allocated systems

Demonstrated Faith

• Pray for coworkers in team meetings
• Lead prayer in large group settings as needed 
• Pray for donors when called upon to do so
• Use Christian principles to work through conflict as outlined by the Culture tool kit
• Participate in support drives for on-air fundraising
• Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
• Attend weekly Staff Gatherings (Hope/Prayer Huddles) for prayer and devotions

Non-Essential Functions:

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma

License/Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license required

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years building maintenance or related experience 
• Mechanical experience and skills, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively and multitask with minimal supervision
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to properly use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Must be able to drive a passenger van
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Well experience in using a computer, basic internet and emails, and other software as needed
• Heart for Christian ministry
• Strong moral character
• Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
• Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church

Travel:

• Within Houston Metropolitan Area

Nights/Weekends/Holidays:

• Occasional night/weekend project work
