Facility HVAC Mechanic

General Summar

This position will require a high level of performance with a sense of urgency in the following areas: Inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility and HVAC systems in an industrial environment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Exhibits proficiency in Facility/HVAC Mechanic 2
• Operates at a level of proficient with a sense of urgency on all facility and HVAC equipment. 
• Proficient with R-134, 410, 404, and 448 freon systems
• Hook-up gauges and check/service freon levels
• T/S to find most leaks and repair
• Replace compressors, fans, motors, coils, blower assemblies, etc.… on HVAC Units up to 25-Ton
• Braise piping on repairs
• T/S and repair basic electrical issues on HVAC Units
• Familiar with VFD/Controller operated HVAC Units
• Familiar with T/S and repair on Refrigerators, Ice Machines, Water Fountains, Control Panel HVAC Units, etc…
• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs HVAC equipment and facilities.
• Good knowledge in reading building drawings and electrical schematics. 
• Maintains proper documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Complies with company safety, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP) and HACCP guidelines.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 Qualifications

• Ability to commit to a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
• Minimum High School diploma 
• 3 to 5 years of facility repairs and HVAC experience preferred
• Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness
• Strong decision making skills
• Able to lift 50 lbs. intermittently
• Strong industrial electrical knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of the proper use of the tools of the trade
