 Position:  Facility Janitor

Department: Facilities Maintenance

Location: Wixom, MI

Position Overview

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all assigned areas of RAMPF Wixom facilities. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding cleanliness standards.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld across all assigned areas, including production floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

Perform daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company procedures.

Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; report shortages or reorder needs promptly.

Adhere to all safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.

Respond quickly and effectively to urgent cleaning requests and unforeseen messes or spills.

Report maintenance or repair needs (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) to the appropriate personnel.

Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations

Assist with event setup or special cleaning projects as directed.

Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and unclogging drains.

Assist with basic repairs to fixtures, furniture, or equipment as directed.

Perform other duties assigned 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently, take initiative and stay on task

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus.

Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment and tools.

Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.

Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50-60 pounds at times. 

Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities

Occasional weekends and overtime may be required
