Completion of associate core program in facility or industrial maintenance; 4 yrs. exp. in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing & HVAC. 

-Or successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology or comparable training program; 5 yrs. exp. in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing & HVAC. For positions in Department of Agriculture, completion of associate core program in facility or industrial maintenance which must include training in polypropylene welding and basic commercial refrigeration systems; 4 yrs. exp. in basic laboratory equipment repairs such as autoclave, deionized water systems and laboratory exhaust hoods.

What You Will Do: 

• Lead and guide maintenance staff in performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, controls, motors, and alarms.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, perform specialized plumbing work, and ensure proper function of pumps, valves, and backflow systems.
• Perform HVAC and boiler maintenance, including adjusting controls, inspecting systems, and completing routine repairs.
• Complete carpentry repairs and fabrication work, maintain building structures, and manage related records, estimates, and materials.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.

Position will be filled pursuant to the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
