Job Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment and utilities for the BioDevelopment facility. This position is responsible for general facility cleaning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates and issues Preventative Maintenance Work Orders at designated frequencies in accordance with Manufacturer's manual and intended use requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance on facility, equipment and utilities and submits records for review in a timely manner
• Ensures Preventative Maintenance tasks are performed in a safe and compliant manner.
• Documents issuance and completion of work performed on paper-based and electronic maintenance records
• Performs work orders as assigned
• Performs general equipment and utility repairs as required
• Performs daily walk through in accordance with facility and equipment checklist and implements corrective actions where needed
• Creates part lists, identifies and catalogs new assets, and helps to establish preventive maintenance procedures
• Coordinates with service providers or other subject matter experts to ensure facility, equipment and utility work orders and maintenance are performed accurately and in a timely manner
• Complies with company and industry quality and safety standards
• Provides support with new and existing qualification of processes and related equipment
• Maintains good housekeeping practices when performing assigned tasks
• Performs general facility cleaning
• Receives materials for the facility as needed
• Acts as designee for facility escorts, as needed
• Assists other departmental employees as needed
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; or at least three years of experience via on-the-job training
• Ability to be self-sufficient and perform maintenance related tasks independently.
• Ability to understand directions, equipment manuals and SOP's
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade
• Knowledgeable of electronic maintenance management program, preferably eMaint software
• Work well as part of a team
• Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to adhere to Good Documentation Practices
• Understanding of applicable OSHA safety standards
• Ability to learn and adhere to cGMP and Safety programs

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 55 lbs
• Climb ladders and/or stairs
• Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach, and kneel throughout shift
• Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods
• Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
• Repeating motion that may include arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
• Ability to see and distinguish color
• Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation

Work Hours:

• Non-Exempt Position; Shift 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Minimum of 40-45 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule
• Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra, Inc. facilities

Pay:

• Starting at a minimum of $23.60 per hour
