Job Description - Facility Manager

eko is an innovative e-commerce startup dedicated to empowering brands to create, display, and optimize their video assets across digital platforms.

Thanks to our groundbreaking partnership with major retailers, and our ability to demonstrably increase e-commerce sales, we recently broke ground on a new facility focused on processing, capturing, and delivering data & media for millions of unique products annually.

Our first-of-its-kind facility will open in Northwest Arkansas this summer and scale to hundreds of employees by the end of 2025.

As we embark on our next phase of expansion, we are seeking visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, “figure-it-out-as-we-go” environments and are eager to grow with us.

The Facility Manager will report directly to eko's Head of Special Teams. The role involves leading the maintenance, janitorial, and other facility-related teams.

What you will do:

  • The Facility Manager is responsible for keeping our facility clean, functional, and ready to operate at full capacity.

  • This person will oversee janitorial operations, maintain building cleanliness and equipment, and ensure we have the right tools and supplies to support our rapid scale.

  • Work closely with IT on shared systems like badging and facility security, and play a key role in creating a safe, supportive working environment for our team.

  • This is a proactive, hands-on role for someone who can manage vendors and daily staff while keeping a big-picture view of site needs.

  • Collaborate with teams across robot, studio and warehouse to lead maintenance-related projects and address challenges.

  • Develop tools and systems to delegate repeatable maintenance activities to departmental owners.

  • Ensure the building is well-maintained and meets cleanliness and safety standards at all times.

  • Manage supply and equipment inventory for facility upkeep (e.g. cleaning chemicals, carts, tools, etc.).

  • Supervise day and night janitorial staff across multiple shifts.

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning and maintenance schedules.

  • Partner with external vendors as needed for repairs, specialty cleaning, or equipment maintenance.

  • Proactively identify and solve facility issues before they disrupt operations.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or site management

  • Proven ability to lead custodial or janitorial teams in a high-traffic environment

  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Experience managing cleaning supply inventories and basic repair workflows

  • Clear communicator with experience working cross-functionally with tech, safety, and security teams

  • Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with longer-term facility planning

  • Team oriented mindset and leading with total ownership of the maintenance process of the capture factory

  • Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends on product)

  • Must be on-site 5 days a week in Northwest Arkansas.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of something groundbreaking. This is an unparalleled opportunity to build the facility maintenance function for a cutting-edge robotics studio at the forefront of innovation.

  • Hyper-growth environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a company that is scaling at an exceptional pace.

Benefits

  • Premium health, dental and vision insurance

  • Mental Health and Wellness Resources

  • Life and Disability Insurance

  • 12 Paid Holidays

Note: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above. They may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. This description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
