Facility Technician

Facilities Technician is a full-time position managing, repairing, and monitoring all equipment and facility operations of Vantage Hemp Co.'s GMP CBD extraction facility. This role performs routine repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment under general supervision. Compensation Range: $22 - $34.11/hour (DOE)
Shift Hours: Four 10-hour shifts per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes daily building rounds, recording various building systems information to be reviewed by Facilities Manager for any operating discrepancies. 
• Conducts equipment and material movements throughout the site. 
• Assists with testing and troubleshooting supporting HVAC, irrigation, lighting, CO2, HPLC, and other equipment necessary for operations. 
• Performs routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.)
• Ensures proper performance, maintenance, and operation of all extraction and formulating processing equipment and all package filling equipment.
• Performs repair or general maintenance work for facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites, including electrical, plumbing, and maintenance tasks.
• Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment regularly; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Completes sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, and waste removal in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree or equipment maintenance/facilities experience required.
• 2-3 years of experience working with PLCs, HVAC, and facilities (pharmaceutical or hemp/cannabis extraction highly preferred).
• 5+ years of experience working as a Facility Technician or in related fields is desirable.
