Himalayan Pet Supply began in 2003 with two brothers, a friend and his dog, Kaos. Kaos discovered ‘churpi’ and he loved it!

We spent the next four years re-engineering the people-grade cheese to make it lactose free and safe for dogs. In 2007, we launched our new dog chew at a small pet fair in Bellingham, Washington creating a new category in the industry, thus changing the dog chew class significantly.

Job description: Janitor

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Job purpose: The janitor position performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas and other building interiors.

Job responsibilities:

1. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines
2. Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds
3. Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
4. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
5. Communicates effectively with management
6. Assists the administrative department as needed
7. Maintains records given by management
8. Follows safety guidelines and uses caution in proper lifting
9. Manages the waste management of the company
10. Maintains, mixes, and distributes chemicals for cleaning to department leads for daily cleaning of production areas
