This position will start late October.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for sorting and removal of culls, foreign matter, unhusked nuts, etc.
- Assists the Factory Operators upon request.
- Must be able to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.
- Cleans and sanitizes factory equipment and surrounding areas as directed.
- Performs simple disassembly and reassembly of equipment as needed to perform cleaning duties.
- Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing.
- Follows all company safety standards and procedures.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work night shifts and extended daily work hours.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to follow verbal/written instructions.
- Previous experience in a factory environment preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Seldom: Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, crouching, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling >25 lbs.
- Occasional: Standing, walking, finger dexterity.
- Frequent: Wrist movement, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Constant: Sitting, must be able to see in color, depth perception, repetitive motion.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, receive verbal and written instruction, and apply basic math skills.
