The High School Bible Teacher is responsible for teaching Bible courses, requiring a solid grasp of subject-specific content and instructional strategies. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The teacher must demonstrate spiritual sensitivity and align with the school's mission and philosophy. As a born-again Christian, the teacher should exhibit spiritual maturity and leadership abilities to teach and embody God's truth effectivel. Effective communication with diverse individuals, proper handling of confidential information, and maintaining a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude in all situations are crucial. Integrity is a must in all circumstances.

Requirements

• Instruct and engage students through lectures, discussions, visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension.
• Be passionate about preparing students academically for college and lifelong success.
• Prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines or state and school requirements.
• Carefully monitor data regarding student progress and make necessary instructional adjustments to ensure student success.
• Administer tests to evaluate student progress, record results, and develop reports to inform parents of progress.
• Maintain classroom standards, including attendance records, discipline, lesson assignments, and timely homework correction.
• Communicate regularly with families as partners in the education of their children.
• Welcome opportunities and actively participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
• Perform related duties such as sponsoring activities or student organizations, assisting students in selecting courses, and counseling for academic problems or adjustments.
• Provide collaborative support to teachers, staff, and parents.
• Proactive with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, timely implementation, and quality performance.
• Consistently demonstrate impeccable honesty, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in all interactions.
• Meet high professional standards and dress.

The Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) teacher must be a spiritually sensitive individual who understands the mission and philosophy of the school. The teacher must be a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity and the academic and leadership abilities necessary to teach God’s truth. Skills in effective communication with diverse individuals, appropriate handling of confidential information, and maintaining a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude, along with integrity in all situations, are prerequisites.
