FAE / Application Engineer

We are seeking an experienced FAE / Application Engineer to support global customers in the semiconductor design industry. This role is home-based in California (San Jose preferred) and requires strong expertise in front-end EDA flows and Conformal/Formality debugging.
Work visa sponsorship is NOT provided; candidates must already hold U.S. citizenship or a green card.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to international customers, including product demos, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

• Communicate customer feedback and tool issues to the internal R&D team.

• Maintain support tickets, technical slides, test cases, and documentation.

• Collaborate with the sales/marketing team during customer visits and evaluations.

Requirements

• Excellent English communication skills; Mandarin is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of frontend EDA flows (LP, Formality, DFT, LEC, DC, Genus).

• 3+ years of Conformal/Formality debugging experience, able to solve issues independently.

• Understanding of APR/physical design flows.

• Proficiency in RTL / Verilog.

• Experience with CAD, Functional ECO, tool integration, automation scripts, or environment setup is preferred.

• Must already be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

• Comfortable working through EOR or Consultant Agreement.

Work Setup

• Home-based in California; San Jose preferred.

• Occasional onsite support visits depending on customer needs.

• Start date: Ideally January, latest before Chinese New Year.
