Head Start Birth-5 has an opening for a non-exempt full-time Family Advocate working 35 hours a week year-round. The Family Advocate is responsible for creating and maintaining a family partnership with each Head Start child’s parent(s) or guardian. Maintain student files, enter documentation and data in the program databases, plan and participate in recruitment activities and other miscellaneous administrative tasks for the Head Start Birth-5 Program.
High School diploma or equivalent required; must obtain within eighteen months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field.
Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
