SUMMARY 

Make a lasting impact on the lives of children and apply to become a treatment parent in our Children’s Treatment Family Care Program. As a treatment parent, you'll play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for youth in need, contributing to their physical, emotional, and social well-being. The goal of a treatment home is to provide youth in need of an “alternate” family setting until they can reunite with their biological family. Youth need healthy childhoods as well as loving and skillful parenting that also honors their loyalty to their biological family. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the agency's program and business needs. 

• Treatment Parents can be a two-care giver home or single caregiver home. 
• Provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing home environment while ensuring basic physical and emotional needs of the youth.
• Be able to follow positive reinforcement systems put in place for the youth.
• Support school attendance, ensure youth attend school regularly, monitor academic progress, and engage in school-related activities.
• Provide highly structured environment.
• Attend medical and dental visits with youth as needed.
• Cooperate with visitation plans, actively contributing to the child's reunification or permanent placement goals.
• Adhere to Agency and program philosophies, policies, and procedures to assure consistent and ethical professional standards and required service outcomes. 
• Ability to understand, demonstrate and apply the Agency’s workplace values.

Requirements

Collaboration and Communication:

• Actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings related to the youth.
• Adhere to the agency's training policy and comply with state regulations.
• Support the youth emotional bond and involvement with biological parents.
• Facilitate parental involvement in significant aspects of the youth's life.
• Daily communication with treatment team members.

Pay and Benefits:

• $75.00 daily stipend.
• $1000.00 sign on bonus.
• Support with accessing community resources and events
• Support with reinforcements
• Medical and dental assistance for the youth.

Qualifications:

• Must attend an orientation.
