Job Description - Family/ Internal Medicine Physician

JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – Family Medicine (Will also consider Internal Medicine)

• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Employed)

• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call

• Coverage Period: Ongoing

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday

• On-Call Shift Schedule: 1:4 call rotation

• Call Type: Rotational

• Call Ratio: 1:4

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: General family medicine patients

• Phone Consults: Yes

• Case Mix: General outpatient family medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: EPIC – fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII

• Office Equipment Available: Standard primary care resources

• Specialty Backup Available: Collegial group of system physicians

• Support Staff Available: Nurse practitioner support in outpatient settings

• Reason for Coverage: Growth and expansion of physician service lines

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days post-offer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active IN medical license (or ability to obtain)

• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

• Experience: Open to all experience levels

• Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency (EPIC); supportive group practice structure

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient family medicine services

• Participate in 1:4 call rotation

• Collaborate with system physicians in a collegial work environment

• Use EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation

• Contribute to system-wide initiatives and quality improvement programs
