Join our collaborative legal team in beautiful Castle Rock, where you'll enjoy a welcoming office environment and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys. We are seeking candidates who currently live within commuting distance, preferably in Castle Rock, Douglas County, or the immediate surrounding areas. While a hybrid schedule may be considered in the future, this position is currently fully in-office.

Note

Candidates must have an active Colorado Bar license, 1+ years of family law experience, and currently reside within commuting distance of Castle Rock, CO. Applicants must be comfortable working 100% on-site. We are not considering out-of-state candidates or relocation applicants.

Job Description

As a Family Law Associate Attorney, you'll help individuals and families navigate important legal matters while developing your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment. You'll manage a variety of family law cases, advocate for your clients, and work alongside experienced attorneys who are committed to delivering exceptional legal services.

• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and other family law matters.
• Manage family law cases from initial consultation through negotiation, settlement, or litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediation, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective strategies tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Negotiate resolutions that protect clients' interests and support their long-term goals.
• Build trusting client relationships by providing clear legal guidance, responsive communication, and compassionate representation.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm while independently managing your caseload and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of family law experience.
• Experience handling divorce, custody, child support, or other domestic relations matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and provide excellent client service.
• Professionalism, empathy, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach.
• Family law courtroom experience and independent case management experience are preferred.

• Required Years as Associate: 2-5
• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role): 2 to 6 years: $135K to $145K; 
• 7 to 9 years: $145K to $150K; 
• 10+ years: $150K to $155K;
• $155K+ possible with a book of business.
