Location: San Jose, CA. We prefer our attorneys to work primarily in-office so they can collaborate closely with the team and make local court appearances. Some hybrid flexibility may be available for the right candidate.
Note: An active California Bar license is required. Candidates must have 1+ year of family law, district attorney, or public defender experience and be willing and able to make in-person court appearances in the San Jose area. Solo practice experience may qualify when it includes substantive family law work.

Job Description
- Manage family law matters while working directly with clients throughout the lifecycle of their cases.
- Appear in court for hearings and other proceedings and confidently advocate for clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials.
- Conduct legal research and provide clients with clear, practical legal guidance.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and help pursue effective resolutions whenever possible.
- Manage deadlines, case documentation, and multiple active matters efficiently.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver responsive, high-quality representation.
- Develop stronger courtroom, litigation, negotiation, and client-management skills as your practice grows.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license.
- 1+ year of family law, district attorney, or public defender experience.
- Family law experience strongly preferred, particularly divorce, custody, support, or related litigation.
- Willingness and ability to make in-person court appearances.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to confidently communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
- Strong organization and ability to manage deadlines across multiple cases.
- JD from an accredited law school.

- 1 to 2 years: $100K to $135K;
- 3 to 5 years: $135K to $175K;

- 10+ years: $200K to $225K base, plus performance-based bonus
