Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Legal Assistant to join our client in Orlando, FL! The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Family Law Practice Group, assisting attorneys and paralegals with a variety of legal and non-legal tasks. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $50,000-$60,000/year!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including filing, handling correspondence, and managing calendars.
- Answer client calls, screen potential clients, and schedule consultations.
- Assist with client intake process, including gathering necessary information and preparing engagement documents.
- Manage case calendar and correspondence with courts for scheduling purposes.
- Prepare and e-file legal documents at the State level, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate meetings, video conferences, and trial preparations, including organizing exhibits and witness binders.
- Process expense reports, vendor invoices, and check requests.
- Maintain, organize, and index case files, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
- Assist with document retrieval, review, organization, and production as needed.
- Cite-check and edit/revise legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Interact with clients, counsel, and other parties, responding to inquiries and providing assistance as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards.
- Utilize various firm databases and software platforms, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, iManage, etc., to manage information effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience working as a legal assistant, preferably in family law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with e-filing procedures and court systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
