Family Law Partner/Attorney

Salary: $100K-$150K

Locations: Parsippany-Troy Hills, Hackensack, or Mount Laurel, New Jersey

They are currently seeking a Family Law Attorney to manage family law cases, provide compassionate legal counsel, and contribute to the firms success through business development and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in divorce, custody, alimony, and property division cases
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
• Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
• Develop effective litigation and settlement strategies
• Provide empathetic, clear, and effective legal counsel to clients
• Engage in business development by consulting with potential clients and facilitating legal retainers
• Participate in networking events to expand the firms client base

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active New Jersey Bar Admission
• Minimum of four years of family law experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a client-friendly manner
• Experience in consultative selling to attract and retain clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software

Preferred Skills

• Litigation experience
• Familiarity with Salesforce and iManage
• An existing book of business is a plus
