Family Medicine Physician

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care.
• Perform inpatient admissions including history & physical exams.
• Evaluate and treat patients, including the ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies, including laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and electrocardiographic examinations, and the administration of medications.
• Discussion of end-of-life preferences/advanced care planning.
• Discharge patients including ensuring appropriate follow-up is arranged.
• Participate in emergency response, code teams, and rapid response.
• Complete documentation in VA Electronic Health Record (CPRS/EHR).

• Education:
  • M.D or D.O. Degree with completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.
• Licensure & Certifications (Current & Unrestricted): 
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABIM or ABFM).
  • Active License to Practice Medicine in any U.S. State or Territory.
  • Current BLS Certification (ACLS a plus).
  • Current DEA registration.
  • NPI number.
• Experience:
  • Experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Security & Background Check: 
  • U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. 
• Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements.
