Proactive MD is growing and looking to add to our team a Primary Care Physician for our Health and Wellness centers!
Proactive MDâs proprietary Health & Wellness Center practice model puts the physician-patient relationship at the center of the care experience. As the Primary Care Physician at one of our Centers, you are truly able to focus on the patient, free from fee-for-service burdens, unrealistic health-system RVUs, and time-consuming administrative distractions. Your time is spent doing what you were trained to do: practicing broad-scope medicine focused on the health and wellness of individuals the way you deem most medically appropriate.
Proactive MD contracts directly with forward-thinking employers who wish to provide their employees and dependents with high-quality healthcare in the form of a dedicated Direct Primary Care practice model within their facility. The Primary Care Physician is responsible for implementing, delivering, and ensuring that the highest quality of patient-centered care is delivered to all the plan members.
Full Time: M-F (30 hours/week) opportunity in New Clinic opening in April 2021
Essential Functions:
Oversee/provide patient-centered, comprehensive, primary care services at the Health & Wellness Center including:
- Performing episodic, preventive, and/or primary health care
- Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients
- Conducting physical exams, health-risk assessments, and history reviews
- Provide referrals to appropriate medical resource or specialty providers as needed
- Identify/respond to emergency situations both within Health & Wellness center and elsewhere on the employer premises, within legal scope of practice
- Ensures the use of standardized and consistent medical procedures/processes
- Participates in the development of annual Health & Wellness Center goals and objectives
- Works in tandem with Medical Assistant, Patient Advocate, and Services Director to ensure a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Participate in the development of policies and guidelines (clinical and administrative) to correct and improve service to the client/account
- Maintains accurate, timely, and complete Electronic Medical Records
- Reports directly to the Regional Medical Director for medical responsibilities
- Participates in the incident/occurrence reporting process being mindful of Risk Management and mitigation, quality,compliance and client relationships
- Supports, leads and models the vision, mission and values of the company
- Other projects and duties as required to address specific medical needs
Requirements
· 2+ years post-residency experience
· Graduate from an accredited medical school
· Current and valid state medical license
· Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
· Knowledge of the healthcare industry and available patient resources
· Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly
· Knowledge of HIPPA confidentiality requirements
· Current BLS or ACLS Certification
