Job Description - Family Medicine Provider MD, DO, or FNP

Division: Capstone Family Physicians, a department of Medical Network of Alaska



MNA Delivers leadership, support and guidance to healthcare facilities of all sizes across multiple specialists with the primary goal of providing accessibility, value and quality medical administrative support services.

In this role, you’ll have the rare opportunity to build your own patient panel in one of Alaska’s scenic, tight-knit communities—where your work truly makes a difference. Whether you're a physician (MD/DO) or experienced nurse practitioner (FNP), we offer the autonomy to shape your practice and the support of a dedicated care team.



  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care by evaluating medical history, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and coordinating referrals when needed

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab work

  • Perform minor procedures and deliver clear guidance to patients about treatment plans and follow-up care

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records

  • Educate patients on preventative care, lifestyle modifications, and chronic disease management

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic performance reviews

  • Collaborate with specialists, care teams, and community health resources to ensure continuity of care

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for support staff as needed

  • Assist in meeting public health and compliance goals, such as immunizations and health screenings

  • Stay current on medical advancements, treatment protocols, and pharmaceutical updates



What You Need For This Job:



  • Medical degree (MD or DO) or Master’s/Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (FNP)

  • Current and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Alaska (or ability to obtain)

  • Board certification (or board eligibility) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or applicable specialty

  • DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • Must reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska or willing to relocate.

  • Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25-50 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
